BACKGROUND: Natalie Nichols Gillespie is an author, editor, and feature contributor for more than two dozen publishing houses and magazines. Gillespie has authored seven books, including Successful Adoption: A Guide for Christian Families and Stepfamily Success and specializes in fiction and nonfiction manuscript copy editing, line editing, and full content editing (working with an author from early manuscript stage through its final edit). She has also written more than 1,000 feature articles for more than two dozen magazines in the past 15 years and most recently served a two-year stint as managing editor for the ladies' lifestyle magazine mtl...bringing women more to life. Gillespie is a mom, stepmom and homeschool parent of seven children who range in age from 2 to 24. Her articles have appeared in publications such as The St. Petersburg Times, Entertaining Kids, Christian Parenting Today, HomeLife, MTL, Charisma, Radio and Records, Outreach and CCM Magazine. She currently edits for publishing houses such as Random House, Harlequin, Thomas Nelson, and Simon & Schuster. She specializes in travel, music, and a wealth of family, marital, and parenting issues—from education options to stepfamily issues. She also prepares press releases and pr campaigns for small businesses and nonprofits, as well as previews and reviews products for several trade and consumer publications. She is a member of a seven-generation native Pinellas County, Florida, family and currently lives in Weeki Wachee, Florida.
